In a nutshell, I am a father, husband and self-proclaimed geek. When I'm not spending time with my family or working or going to college full time, I thoroughly enjoy any bit of technology I can get my hands on. Although my technical focus spans a number of different disciplines, I've spent the last five years or so honing my skills in web application programming and design.

Tools from Troy
Published by Jeff on Friday (307 days ago)Got a great deal recently on a variety of Craftsman tools that were older but still in very good condition. Multiple wrench and socket sets (3/8", 1/2", 3/4"), hand grinder, 1/2" drill and drill bits, impact hammer, C-clamps, tap and die sets,...Air Compressor Recommendations
Published by Jeff on Tuesday (310 days ago)As the extent of vehicle-based projects and maintenance goes up, I'm giving serious consideration to purchasing an air compressor for the garage. I've spent several days now researching the options available and I've narrowed my selection down to...Rausch Creek Aftermath - Some Lessons Learned
Published by Jeff on Sunday (319 days ago)In the aftermath of my Rausch Creek experience, I've been collecting info from the many lessons learned during the run, in order to improve the overall experience for future runs. Many of the items I mention below are convenience items, not...Rausch Creek Photos

Published by Jeff on Friday (334 days ago)Well day one was an absolute blast. Despite being part of one of the Green Trail Teams (basic level trails only), we detoured several times over to some of the Blue trails (medium level challenge). It was more of a challenge getting through some...Winch - Hydraulic Vs. Electric
Published by Jeff on Wednesday (357 days ago)For the regular off-roaders, winch users and/or engineer types out there, I'm curious as to your thoughts on hydraulic vs electric winches. The hydraulic models seem to be more popular for heavy-duty applications (military and tow vehicles),...Coding for the Future
Published by Jeff on Monday (394 days ago)In the recent weeks, my brain has been somewhat preoccupied in its attempts to adjust and, ultimately, improve my coding and design practices. As is typical for most developers, I occasionally return to past projects and review code in order to...Calling All Outdoor Enthusiasts
Published by Jeff on Monday (422 days ago)I'm pretty sure I was bypassed when they were distributing the "thrill-seeker" gene, because I just don't see myself ever doing something like this. Stones. Serious stones. Great video though. I actually found myself leaning towards the cliff...MacBook Wheel
Published by Jeff on Wednesday (428 days ago)Apple fans behold... it's the new MacBook Wheel.
