Lisa: You are not going to want to hear this, and if you are truly enamored, nothing I say will make any difference. But I'm going to go on record anyway. I did some checking on Visalus. I went to their website and watched about half their video until I got nauseated, but I also went to the scam warning sites and blogs and I urge you to do the same. This is simply a multi-level marketing scheme, similar to what Melody got into. In practice what that means is the only people who ever make any serious money at it are the ones who started the company and got in first. The more people who get in, the harder it is to make any money and those who make money do so by virtue of the fact that those under them are losing it. If they have a minimum monthly purchase of product, RUN the other way. Dr. Seidman apparently sells virtually the same products from both his own website ($23/month supply -MVI) and through retailers -- in competition with Visalus -- and he's the manufacturer.(bodylanguagevitamin.com)
These companies and their meetings are 95% motivational and 5% content. They are run by motivational speakers, not business types. Read about the history of this company and the principals who took their money and ran before the current leaders came to be.
If you feel the products are beneficial to you, wonderful. Buy all you can use. But do not (my strongest possible advice) get involved with this company. Stay in touch with your would-be upline and find out how they're really doing now and after a year.
Perhaps everyone has to go through something like this in their life and if so I hope your pain will be minimal. But please read some of the already-burned vs soon-to-be-burned blogs. (Visalus: it's too good to be real) They should be real eye-openers. You may have the abilty to "create" opportunities for yourself, but this is not one of them. Sorry.
