    Good News!

I know everyone can always use some, right? Anyways, my team lead told me she didn't want me there for the deployment tomorrow night. Not because I'm incompetent (though I'm sure I qualify for that excuse as well), but because she doesn't want the added stress while I'm still sick. It works out well for everyone involved, because I can come in at the normal time and be there during the day if customers need help, etc. (the rest of the team doesn't usually come in until 4 or 5 pm on deployment days) and I get to go home at a decent hour and get plenty of rest. I'm still planning on staying late to make up for the hours spent at the doctor's last week, but I'll be leaving around 6 pm - instead of the 6 am I left at last deployment. Jeff is much happier and, truth be told, so am I. I like to pull my weight, but I've never been good with lost sleep.

The weather is also taking a turn for the better, or cooler at least. The last three days have been 110-115 degrees - nasty! Tomorrow is supposed to be only in the upper 80s, but there're storms moving in. Oh well, I'll take the rain and wind (so long as our power doesn't go out) over the heat and humidity. Have I ever expressed my gratitude for having a desk job at times like these?

Keep those angels hummin.    That is great news and also about the weather.  They said New England was in triple digits but I had no idea you were that hot. It makes the weather when we were there seem like a gift from heaven

Give your team leader a big hug - if she'll let you get that close.
Have a quiet weekend - no the house does NOT need to be cleaned, yet.
    Sleep...sleep...sleep...sleep...............

This is very good news...it means that you are already home, and most likely snoring...get some good rest this weekend.

"snoring..." how appropriate. It seems my body didn't think I had enough to contend with for now it appears that I have a head cold and, yes, I woke myself up several times last night when I started to snore.  I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed or exasperated at this point. I did finally move to the couch this morning as I know I was keeping Jeff up. But, I did get home a little after 7 last night and went to bed around 8. I felt a little bad for leaving, because most of them were just arriving as I was packing up, but I did put in a 12 hour day, so there can't be any complaints.
