    • In case some of you missed the initial release of Firefox 3, they managed to set a world record for number of downloads in a single day. That being said, I have been using and testing in Firefox version 3 since the release date and all is well. As a matter of fact, it's actually improved quite a bit.Firefox 3 contains many improvements over version two, one of the most notable being the new and improved awesome bar. Among these improvements and bug fixes, there are also two well documented...

    • It may look like the same menu option, but there are some very cool additions to the Design section.Design now features a custom Palette Picker and Pattern Picker that allow you to completely customize your pages' color palette and background respectively on the site. There are currently over 150 different background patterns to choose from and I'll be adding more in the future. You can also try out the Random button which generates a random palette and background pattern. Please note, in order...

    • It's been awfully quiet here as of late. Everyone must be really busy with summer time activities. Hope everyone is doing well in their respective parts of the world.I just wanted to let you know that the site hasn't lost its tech support element. I'm actively working on more updates and changes in the background. I am, however, very busy with school work at the moment so the development is somewhat slow going. I hope to have some new additions out to you all in the next couple of weeks though...

    • There were a few minor changes in this push to some of the stylesheets and javascript files. However, there was a major improvement to the content revision process that should make it easier to roll back content if required. If you're really interested or confused as to recent changes to buttons within the editor, you can read more about it here and here. I've updated each of those help documents to reflect the recent changes.

    • For those of you who asked for more space while you're typing your posts and comments, the bottom bar of the editor window is draggable. Just hover your mouse over it, left-click and hold, then drag downwards. This is not a new feature (it's been in place since the new site was stood up). But I realized, after the fact, that it may not be immediately obvious to everyone so I figured I post up a quick note.

    • There was an issue with one of the event listeners for the rich text editor that was causing some annoying delays when typing in the editor window within Internet Explorer (IE). This issue should now be resolved allowing IE users to see the text as they type without experiencing any delays. If you still experience this issue after the date/time of this post, please clear your web browser's cache and reload. This will force your browser to update its files with the latest version fo the editor...

    • I was pleasantly surprised last night when I discovered that something that I had written (code-wise) and released to the public, was actually getting a fair amount of press. Originally based on a requirement for work, I spent a few hours over a weekend (back in Aug 2007), putting together a password checker utility where users could type in potential passwords in order to determine the password's"crack-ability" (i, e; how secure they were). The code was written entirely in javascript which...

    • Admittedly, I'm generally behind the times when it comes to current news events. I find that news reporting these days is just too heavily weighted on the side of negative sensationalism and as a result I tend to err on the side of"uninformed." So you'll have to forgive me if this is old news. I thought the photos were worth sharing though in case some of you missed out on this event. More information and photos can be found in this article.
