    • Just a quick note folks... you now have a few extra options available when editing textual content. To check out the latest additions you just need to create a new post or respond to another member's post. Features such as"Paste as Text" and"Paste from Word" should help eliminate some of the unwanted Microsoft cruft. I still recommend NOT typing up your content in Word or Outlook, but for those that do, you now have an option to clean up your text before adding it to a post. This new...

    • For those of you who asked for more space while you're typing your posts and comments, the bottom bar of the editor window is draggable. Just hover your mouse over it, left-click and hold, then drag downwards. This is not a new feature (it's been in place since the new site was stood up). But I realized, after the fact, that it may not be immediately obvious to everyone so I figured I post up a quick note.

    • There was an issue with one of the event listeners for the rich text editor that was causing some annoying delays when typing in the editor window within Internet Explorer (IE). This issue should now be resolved allowing IE users to see the text as they type without experiencing any delays. If you still experience this issue after the date/time of this post, please clear your web browser's cache and reload. This will force your browser to update its files with the latest version fo the...

    • Sorry it took so long to get this out there for you all but there are only so many hours in the day. For those of you who might have been having difficulties with the current editor window, you now have the option of a Plain Text Editor (PTE) (vs. the current Rich Text Editor (RTE)). This editor is not quite as full-featured as the current due to the limitations imposed by older or incompatible web browsers, but it does include most of the options currently available via the RTE. And I will...

    • I think the title pretty much speaks for itself. Undo: Now if you make an"oops" while in the process of editing, just click the Undo button to make it go away. (For those unfamiliar with the Windows keyboard shortcuts, pressing this button is the same as holding the [CTRL] key and pressing the"Z" key.) Redo: If you decide you really wanted the change, just use the Redo button to restore it. (Equivalent to the holding the [CTRL] key and pressing"Y") The beauty of either the buttons or...

    • In my never-ceasing efforts to please you people , I have added a couple more features to the text editor window. The buttons are now much easier to see with a white background vs. the default contain background. And you now have a few new features with which to play. Remove Text Formatting: After applying Bold, Italic, or Underline to portions of text, you may want to reset all the text to default without having to highlight every single section and click the appropriate (B, I, U) button...

    • The new tracking system is now officially in effect. You'll notice it's working because on your first visit back with the new system, you'll see that EVERYTHING is now flagged as new. That's right, congratulations! Thanks to your disappointment with the first system, you now get to"deflag" all previous blogs and comments in a psuedo-blog-review exercise. Consider it practice for the blog-viewing olympics. Actually, the new system uses a separate table to keep track of all records viewed...

    • Just a quick note on some new features/updates... A request was made to add a"Reply To" button for each of the comments so a person could actually respond to individual comments instead of just the blog. So be it. A"Reply To" comment now shows an"[RE: Comment #]" at the top and each comment gets a unique comment number associated with it (also displayed). Since the number of blogs is quickly going to overrun a single page, I've set the default selection up to only display blogs from the...
