    • Just a quick update... I finally got around to restoring the older posts where members had uploaded images. Modifications to the source code at the end of October broke the older post format so that the thumbnails effectively disappeared. These posts have now been updated to the new format and the thumbnails are once again visible.

    • Win Your Own Custom Background! With the holiday season approaching like famished zombies, I just thought I'd add a quick reminder to everyone that there are a lot of new background patterns available, including holiday-themed backgrounds and other assorted candy-filled options. As we wheelbarrow our way through Fall and head into the Winter season, I'd like to make a suggestion. Avoid the seasonal doldrums by sprucing up your pages! Choosing a new color scheme or background pattern are the...

    • Just a quick note folks... you now have a few extra options available when editing textual content. To check out the latest additions you just need to create a new post or respond to another member's post. Features such as"Paste as Text" and"Paste from Word" should help eliminate some of the unwanted Microsoft cruft. I still recommend NOT typing up your content in Word or Outlook, but for those that do, you now have an option to clean up your text before adding it to a post. This new editor...

    • Well, I've finally found a bit more focus in the world of software engineering. In my efforts to expand development here at the site I had slowly begun to lose sight of my goal; and inspiration along with it. I've always had a general idea of the direction I wanted to take but only for the short term. As of late, I've begun focusing on the long-term goals, suddenly aware that I didn't really have any. Somewhat disheartened by this discovery, I began searching for answers in hopes of narrowing...

    • In order to prevent code burnout, I occasionally resort to terribly mundane tasks to give my brain a bit of a break between barrages. Ha, ha, ha... alliteration is fun. :)Anyway, I spent some time yesterday and today searching the interwebs for some new background options. It generally requires searching, locating and saving each individual background image which makes for a terribly boring time killer. But it does provide more options for those who are unhappy with the current selection. After...

    • For those of you who have courageously ventured into the new spaces, I just wanted to let you know that I'm continuing to work on code behind the scenes. There are still quite a few items on my"to-do" list including little tweaks and bug fixes as I come across issues. So if you click on a function, link or button and get the"Oops" message, rest assured that I'm still plugging away at the code. If you happen across something utterly glaring or a show stopper bug, do please report it by posting...

    • Even though the new site looks similar to the last version, there are a lot of new options available. I'll be working on updating the help documents and adding more insightful info over time. But please feel free to post up any questions you have about how something works or where a feature might be located in the new design and I'll do my best to answer.

    • Congratulations, you found me! There are still a few features left to iron out, including the password reset option. If you don't remember your password, you can now reset it easily using the password reset form. If you do remember your password, all previous accounts are still in place in the new database so just log in like you normally would at the old site.So far I have only tested in Firefox 4+ so there may be definite quirks in Internet Explorer and other browsers. Once I get most of the...

    • The new gamma version of the site offers a lot of new options for members. In order to support some of the newer features as well as keep the general public ahead of the security and exploitation curve, I have upped the web browser requirements for site usage. Due to time constraints, the current version of the site has only been tested in Firefox 4+, but you should be fairly safe if you are running any one of the following browsers: Firefox 4+, Safari 5+, Internet Explorer 8+ or Google...

    • For those of you who have discovered the new Gamma version of the site, welcome! While there are a number of new features available, I thought I'd take a quick moment to address the avatar situation in case anyone is not happy with their particular caricature. My intention was to try and add a bit more personality to the new site and thought it might be fun to interact with one another as our cartoon versions. So I took the time to create a personalized avatar for everyone on the site based on...
