    Quest for Interaction

Posted by Grateful on Friday, April 25, 2008 @ 04:09 AM

I think that I have set this blog so that everyone can come in and put their own answers...if I have not, perhaps Nerdcan fix it for us. Please feel free to add in your own answers or questions!

    What is your favorite Season?
Lisa: Summer. Warm, sunny, outside, flowers and longer days to enjoy my family!

HD: Autumn. Even though it's my worst season for allergies, I love the cooler weather, the wonderful wind (nothing better than a refreshing breeze blowing through my hair), the gorgeous colors and the excitement of the upcoming holidays.

What was the best song you heard yesterday?
Lisa: Don't ask why, but Ray Stevens "The Streak!" I still have the giggles! "Eeeethel!" Hahahahaha Rolling On Floor

HD: Yesterday, if you don't count songs like "The Wheels on the Bus," the only thing I listened to was my Alpha Brain Waves CD - no words, but wonderfully soothing music.

What word always trips your tongue?
Lisa: I actually have several that I have to stop and think about. One phrase is "Reeses Pieces" (If you are under 18 or easily offended, you may want to stop reading!) For some reason, if I don't stop and think before saying it I always blurt out Reeses Penis...the first time I realized I had this problem was in a busy Red Robin bar, while I was working...I could go on, but I am sure you have the rest of the embarrassing picture by now. The other phrase that I have trouble with is Apples, Pears and Cherries...this might seem strange, but once in my career I worked for a fruit company who owned orchards that produced all three fruits...they also stored and shipped all three fruits. I had to work with all three fruits regularly. If I do not stop and think before saying Apples, Pears and Cherries, it will always come out Apples, Perries and Chairs. Don't even ask my why...the funny thing was that I did it so frequently that the office staff got used to it and did not even blink when I blurted!

HD: Calgary and Calvary come to mind right now, but I'm sure there are plenty more.

What is on your list to accomplish today?
Lisa: It is a long list, but primarily studying for my Life and Health exam which is tomorrow.

HD: My 150-odd-page test procedure that I've been working on for the past week.

What is your favorite place that you have visited on the planet?
Lisa: The ocean, wherever it might be...probably one of the reasons that Victoria and the Bahamas are on my list of favorite travel spots to date.

HD: I second the ocean. There's a spot in Captain Cook state park in Alaska that overlooks the ocean with the forest behind you. It's very private and soothing. I also find peace when in the middle of a forest, with only the animal sounds to accompany me.

Where in the world would you like to go someday?
Lisa: Palau...I have lots of places that I would like to see, but Palau I might not come home from!

    HD: Hawaii

Who was your favorite pet and why?
Lisa: Tigger...Soooooo much personality! "Shaggy go home!"

HD: Tina - my first pet. Of course, her son, Hans, would be a very close second as we had him the longest of any pet I can remember. There's just something very entertaining and, at the same time, comforting about the miniature schnauzer breed. They're very lovable and loyal.

What is your favorite TV show?
Lisa: Right now I got sucked into American Idol...and I cannot believe who they are sending home! ARG! Favorite of all time is I Love Lucy though...

HD: For comedy, definitely Scrubs. For drama, it's Lost.

What was the last item you purchased on ebay?
Lisa: I think that I have only purchased from ebay once, and it was a huge box of baby clothes for Brianna way back when.

HD: Same here. I bought one thing and it was a bunch of bibs for Kadie.

What CD is in your player right now?
Lisa: Pink...as Nerdonce pointed out, I like my music with a bit of angst!

HD: At work - Alpha Brain Waves. At home - Songs 4 Worship

What was the last movie that you watched?
Lisa: Blood Diamond. A disturbing view of a portion of our world and what human beings are capable of doing to one another for something of perceived value.

    HD: The Seeker, I believe.

Who in history would you most like to meet?
Lisa: I think perhaps Abraham Lincoln, because there was so much simplicity in his wisdom.

HD: I know it sounds cliche, but Jesus. Especially right now, when I'm focusing on finding peace, patience and gratitude in my life. Who else would be a better model to follow?

Where will you be at 3:34 p.m. this afternoon?
Lisa: Swearing in ceremony for Christina's hubby aka Judge McCarthy

HD: Hopefully, walking out the office building door, on my way to pick up Jeff and Kadie.

What was the last silly thing that you did?
Lisa: We all know the answer to this one!

HD: Wow - the fact that I can't think of anything really makes me feel that I take myself way too seriously.

Where is your favorite place to take a nap?
Lisa: In the sunshine...maybe a hammock!

HD: The living room couch - with a cat curled up somewhere near me.

What are the oldest items or belongings that you have in your house?
Lisa: Cedar Chest circa 1920s and a copy of "Kavanagh" by Longfellow circa 1904

    HD: Does my husband count?

Check out your spice cabinet. What is the oldest date in the cupboard? (Some of you may have to revise the above question after this one!)
Lisa: I have to go look!

HD: I would have to look, but I'm sure nothing's older than 1999 (when I started living on my own in a "real" place - not the dorms, etc.). Of course, that would still make the oldest one about 9 years old.
