    Catch Up

Posted by Peggy on Saturday, November 25, 2006 @ 01:39 AM
Just a short note to let you know what we've been up to.  A week ago (Thur.) I spent the moning listening to second graders read.  Friday, I woke with a sore throat - they weren't coughing all over me like they usually do and I guess I let my guard down.
Friday, I baked for the Lioness' bake sale.
Sat. a.m., we delivered the baked goodies then picked up and delivered a building, then picked up another building and brought it home.
Sunday, after church, I roasted two turkeys and made a pie for our potluck Thanksgiving dinner at church that evening.
Monday, we delivered a building to Charlston. (Still had a sore throat.)
Tuesday, I took Mom shopping in Coos Bay.
Wed., Violet had a half day of school.  We took a little time out to watch the end of Sunday's Nascar race and saw Jimmy Johnson win the championship - FINALLY.
Then it was back to laundry, house cleaning, etc.
Thursday, we had another Thanksgiving dinner with Mom, Dad, Sue and David.  They left before dark and then the McNeil's (a family from church) came up for pie and games.  They have two teenage boys and a girl Violet's age.  All three are rather immature for their ages and very boisterous.  My sore throat had now matured into a nice cold.
Friday morning, Susan's brother, Tony arrived with Amiee and his two children, Jessica (8) and Matthew (5).  We have had a VERY PLEASENT visit.  They have all been happy, friendly and well mannered.
Tomorrow morning, we are all leaving about 10:30.  Tony and the kids back to Hillsbough and we are going south to Brookings to help celbrate Richard's grandmother's 100th birthday.
Guess that wasn't so short - got to get to bed.  Love to all, Peggy
