Feeling a little older right now. My lovely Step-daughter Nicole is about to Graduate from high school. I was wondering were the last 16 years went. Mt. St. Helen just celebrated 30 later after the eruption. I was just finish my vacation and looked out the window to see this very dark cloud coming my way, but didn't know at the time the mountain had blown her top.

I decided that I should dislocate my shoulder again for the 5th time in 18 years. My new insurance is Kaiser ick was giving me the run around about what I needed to do before going to an Ortho doctor. They wanted me to see a minor injury group to decide when I can go to the Ortho doctor. Nope, luckly the ER doctor made me a referral to the Ortho doctor. But it will be 3 weeks afterwards.

I guess I never brought you guys up to date when I went to Tennessee to see my new found brothers. I enjoyed meeting them and their family. I really like my sister-n-law, she the type who laughs at everything. The oldest of the brothers and I get a long real well and seem to have a lot of the same interest. I am hoping to go back next year when my nephew graduates from high school.

Heatherdawn, take care of yourself, hate for you to get real sick. Nicole is looking forward to coming out there. But, also having a few I am leaving home moments.

    Love to all, Suzie

    Found- Two Brothers

Posted by Suzie on Sunday, November 15, 2009 @ 10:26 AM

    Good Morning to All.

First, where are the picture from your trip, picture of Grandkids, parents?

Okay now. Some of you know some of you don't. But when I was a child and yes I was a child a one time. My brother Jack and I were adopted by my brother Russ's Dad. I have always known that I was adopted and of course went through all the emotion on wonder why my biological father didn't want anything to do with us. When I would ask my Mom about it she would always put up road blocks and try and steer me away from the subject. (My father wasn't a very nice man when he was drinking. He had strangle and beat my Mom. So I know that this is the reason she left and we moved from Tennessee back to Wyo.) Years later I found out that I had two more siblings.

When I was 22 years old I decided that I was going to find my father and I told my Mom that I wanted to do this, she told me that she had heard from one of his sisters that he had died in a car crash. So, why should I not believe her. This is 1979. In 1994 I was working for the Washington State Patrol and had access to the national data base for driving records also, wants and warrants. Me being bored decided to look up people like Elvis Presley and yes there was a driving history for him and for fun I ran my father's information knowing that he had died in 1979. Well, to my surprise he not only had a driving history but also the record was as current as 1991, but is was suspend and no new activity. You ask why I can be so sure that it is him especially with a name like John Austin, which in the south is very common. But his middle name is Alva not common and his birthday is 2 days after mine. The next I saw my Mom I brought up the subject again, she was quiet and she said again that his sister told her that he died in a car accident. I showed her the proof and she start writting down information about what she knew. Of course I start looking around but never found any real clues. I even called a few John Austins in and around the area that was on the driving records, the gentlemen that I talked to all wished me good luck.

So, I will shorten this up. After my divorce in 2001 I decided to give this one more shot. I was looking the the Social Security death index looking for ancester and look to see if my father was there, nope not there. This was in June. Around Oct. 2001 I was playing on my computer and decided to look at the index again and yes there he was died June 12, 2001. This was such a let down. And without knowing the names of the two siblings I wasn't sure what I would do.

In Oct 28, of this year I decided that I would order my father death certificate with cause. As I have gotten a little older I thought It my be a good idea to find out what was the cause of death. The death certificate arrive Nov 1, and to my utter delight the name James D Austin was the informant's name on the certificate with an address. And that the death certificate says that my father was a Senior well I am pretty sure of what the name of the other child is. I called my brother Jack to tell him the news and he said he would try and get information on James.

Okay, Jack will look and see what he can find. So I make a little dinner and keep looking at the certificate, sit down at the computer, run the name through a few search data bases, do a reverse directory on the address, find that there is more than one person with the last name of Austin living in this home, there is also a telephone number. Some more search and I find John A Austin Jr same address.

Bottom line. Jack called the number Friday Nov 3, no one home but leaves a message about 2 hours later John called back, they talked about 20 mins and we had found them both. Now after about 15 hours on the phone Jack and I are flying to Mempis, Tn December 29 for a new family reunion. Oh and yes we all look like each other, they have been look for us for about 20 years. My father told both of them about Jack and I.

The hole that has been in my heart for all these years if full, I found out that my father had looked for us, fought the adoption, came to Wyoming one time to see us but Mom wouldn't let him, she was afraid he would try and take me with him. John told me he probably would have. A little girl who thought that her father didn't love her now knows that he did.

Happiness. I talked to John last night and he told me that they were taking us to Graceland and I had to have him repeat that again. And in a joking manner I said forget seeing you guys just take me to Graceland. A dream come true. Another two things off my bucket list.

I just have to keep telling myself that it happened now for a reason.

    Love To All

Ya I know I don't write well, and it's long sorry, Happiness

The Doctors can no longer do anything for him and was letting him go home either Friday or Saturday. Peggy is going to help out as much as she can and help Lois after Mike go home to our Heavenly Father. Please keep them all in your thoughts and Prayers.

    Vancouver Tornado

Posted by Suzie on Saturday, January 12, 2008 @ 08:47 PM

Well, If life doesn't have enough trials mother nature decide to add another one.  On Thursday Jan 10, it was just another day at work.  The weather as usual was raining and of course being at work I don't get any weather reports.

I decided to run over to Safeways and pick up laundry soap and few other things.  I was in the store for about 20 mins and when I came out the sky had darkened a great deal, no biggy. Just as I was getting things into the car there was a hugh flash of lighting and an unbelievable loud thunder, it sounded like a shotgun going off right next to my ear. I climbed into the car just as the rain started coming down harder and a little bit of hail.  Now this hail was the size of small grapes and hitting my windshield, which I thought it might break.  Okay, so I start driving back to the office it's less than 5 min drive. There are 4 stop lights, 1st and 2nd are working fine and the wind is picking up, hail coming down harder, raining heavier.  I turned the corner and look ahead to see that the 3rd set of lights are out and people are slowing down, we are doing four way stops making it through the light. All the liquids are getting heavier and the wind in swirling around me. You can't really see anything around you, and I am praying that I will make it back to the office without getting hit. I didn't know at this time that it is a tornado and at the 4th light people are not taking their turns and it gets a little harry.  I make my turn and just as I am getting around the corning a car in front of me stops suddenly but, I have enough distance to stop safely.  Coming across  the road (now this is a 6 lane road) is a shopping cart and it's coming at a very fast speed, it stops when it runs into the side of Baja Fresh restrauant.  I turn into the parking lot, park my car, I am only 3 feet from the back door of the building and I get soaked.  The lights are just starting to come back on.  And then we find out that it is a tornado. The path of it is just 1 block from my office and I missed the main event by about 3 mins of maybe seeing it.  I think it passed by us just as I was trying to get into the back door.  You can see pictures of the damage if you go to www.kgw.com . Look for the Vancouver Tornado.

Other than that things are going good with my new job and I am bored to tears, but we are in the early stages and trying to make sure all of the computer systems are working right.

    Hello Everyone,

Thanks to my wonderful Birthday Present I am coming into the world of puting Pictures on the internet.  I didn't do such a great job on here, but I am sure I will get the hang of it.

The cat is Cheryl's my roommate of almost 2 years.  He is a  Maine Coon by the name of Mocachino.  I am a cat lover for as long as I can remember, but this one doesn't want anything to do with me if Cheryl is around but when she is gone he is the most loving thing around.  Molly my dog and Moca get along great chasing each other everywhere.

Lula Bell is my motorcycle and I am not sure what my Grandmother would think about a motorcycle being named after her.  I did manage to pass my motorcycle safety class with a 95% after I finished healing.  Yes, besides my ribs being hurt I dislocated my left shoulder and spent about 3 weeks in a sling this summer. This year has not been to kind to me or maybe I should say I haven't been to kind to my body.  I am however, up and riding getting braver and riding farther from home and in more traffic.

As some of you know I applied for a new Job with the department of licensing which intailed having a background done through Home Land Security.  Well, Friday I found out  that I got the job and will be going to training starting in Oct for 2 weeks, some in Nov and some in Dec.  Washington is going to an ehanced drivers license which will allow you to cross border between US and Canada, Mexico, Bahamas without a passport.  I am excited to get started but sad because I am leaving all my friends I have worked with for 10 years.

    Well, I better be going.

    A Little of Everything

Posted by Suzie on Monday, May 21, 2007 @ 03:04 PM

    Hello,

I do get on here and read what is happening in everyone's lives.   Compare mine to all of yours, it seem rather boring.  I go to work, come home, play with Molly (my dog), sometimes we go for a walk, watch TV, go to bed and start over again.  FUN!

Okay, as it has been said this year is my 50 birthday and so I decided to change things up a little.  I also, have problems with slightly high blood sugar, cholesterol etc.  These things will need to be a life change.  And I am working on them.  I have decided to try and find a male friend who wants to do things with me, thought I had but he seems really wishy-washy.   So, hold on to your seats.  I got a motorcycle and am learning to ride.  I was doing pretty good the first day and the second day things seem to be going good until a tree suddenly seem to be getting close real fast.

    1. Don't be looking at something, because that is where the bike will go.
    2. Try not to panic.
    3. Don't pull only on the front brake and forget to pull in the clutch.
    4. Don't be turning, doing all of these things, you lose. (especially if you are a beginner.)

I am sure you can guess what happened.  I was on the bike and then the ground. Bike has little damage and the body, well it is mending, nothing broken, right side of body has lots of bruising and material scraps. (I was wear long sleeves, jeans, helmet and gloves)  As for handlebars and ribs they don't mix well together.  It's been three weeks and they still hurt.  After 2 weeks of not riding I started again trying to get ready for my motorcycle class the first of June.  Oh, the wishy-washy guy was helping me learn, because he had taught the motorcycle safety class in Nevada, but there was nothing he could have done to prevent what happened to me.

I have found out that there are lots of groups, clubs for motorcyclist and this might be a way to meet guys, who knows not in my hands, I just need to get out where other are.

Well, that's it in a nutshell for now anyway.

    Just Saying Hi

    Hello Everyone,

Jeff, was kind enough to let me be on here.  I probably won't write much.  But, it is a nice way to keep up with everyone.

It would also, at least for me to start knowing what little one's are going to want, need for Christmas.  So, if Mommies and Grandmas would like me, us know that would be great. Plus a lot of birthdays are going to be happening.

    Thanks  take care,

    Suzie
