    • Generally we Americans have fallen into a state of apathy toward our government. Our vote really doesn't make any difference. The politicians don't listen to us. There is nothing we can do about it so why bother. Just ignore the situation, nothing will ever change. Sound familiar? Well, now you do have an opportunity as an individual to change this directly. You have an opportunity to make a difference.Scott Brown may be the one last remaining hope to kill the health care abomination. He is...

    • We are currently on vacation enjoying beautiful weather and lots of quiet. Nana Suzie has Violet for this next week. We met Suzie in Eugene Friday for her birthday and gave her the 9 yr old present which she had actually asked for. They will have fun for a week then Violet will spend the following week with her cousins near Portland. Cousin Jesse's 10th birthday is next Sat. so Violet should be well entertained. The third week we will all be headed North to Port Angeles On the way home Friday...

    • Is anybody else having issues with FF3? Since downloading I have noticed several problems. Don't know if it is coincidental or not. I can no longer access Paypal. When I try to login it just runs and runs but Explorer accesses without a problem. If I leave several windows open over nite or for several days the browser becomes really sluggish. Some times my passwords will autofill and other times it will fill the ID but not the password even though they are listed in my password directory. My AVG...

    • Jeff, After we downloaded Firefox 3, Peggy's computer won't accept the user name and password for this site. I don't have her password in my computer although I thought it was the same as mine. My computer works on FF 3 just fine although I can't say I notice any difference from FF2. Please reset her PW to same as mine and we will try again. Thanks

    • I tried the design changes but they don't seem to be in color coordination mode at least for me . My cursor also just went away. The selection of posts by member is great as well as the monthly archive. In the tag list, can we add our own tags as well? My only other question is who would be the one who uses POO POO as a tag?? I can only guess.

    • Just received this email from Grandpa Ed:All's well in beautiful Southern Oregon Yesterday temp was 90 Today 93 tomorrow Supposed to get warm tomorrow-Dear Grampa Ed, Just hang in there. We will be back Monday with the rain. We have managed to have mostly cloudy with several days of rain here, so they are well watered now. The forecast for MD. is for sunny weather to start Monday when we will be leaving. I'm thinking of a new business venture, Weather or Not Inc.. We could get paid by drought...

    • Aaah yes, deeply imbedded in the computer underground, surfacing only to download a few more utilities links we find Prince Nerd King Sr. Following quietly in the footsteps of the awesome Nerd King, the Prince has been making great progress. With extreme skill and daring he has made an almost unbelievable recovery. Of course in order to recover, you must ask the question"From what"? Well it seems that the Prince received a message from his magnificent all knowing computer. It needed a little...

Now that the news has been released from a named source, it is official.LISA & Mike are getting MARRIED this summer!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS We Love You

    • Dave and I just about finished his carport project today. We have a couple of hours left to finish up tomorrow. It sounded simple enough, just a basic carport, no big deal. Actually it is more like a COSTCO sized carport. It is about 12 ft. off the ground at the low end, 28 ft. wide and 34 ft. back to the peak. From the peak it then slopes steeply to the rear and covers an existing wood shed. It has snowed every day so far, but not added a lot of inches. It is just cold and slippery. The flat...

    • The wedding was great for those who enjoy weddings. I will admit that it does supply some good reminders as well as memories. It was quite elegant at the Sonqualmie Falls Lodge. The most difficult moment was when Peggy reminded me that we could be doing this in another 10+ years. The weather was not great , a combination of rain and snow. Jan dropped off Mom at Lois and Mike's and we all drove to Port Angeles Sunday. Then Sunday nite it snowed several inches so it was a bit iffy getting up...

    • The following is part of an article from the Dr. Mercola web site:Dr. Mercola's Comments: I am absolutely convinced that the explosion of cell phone usage around the world is one of the primary contributors to the autism epidemic. The information-carrying radio waves from cell phone base stations and cell phones makes children's exposure to vaccines and heavy metals much more dangerous than they typically are. Why? Because EMR may actually trap heavy metals inside your cells, allowing them to...

    • Sorry we had to miss all that rain at home We have had frost most mornings so far. Today we moved down from Camp Verde to the Phoenix area. It's much warmer, about 80 and low tonight about 65 so we won't be freezing for a while. The whole wifi connection has been a royal pain. Even when they say they have it, they have problems connecting with our site or they are working on it or ?????., We will be going to the zoo tomorrow since all the RV parks will be closed so we are stuck with this one...

    • I'm beginning to think snowbirds in AZ, are well named and they just haven't left for a warmer climate. We are still in Williams at least till Monday am. There was frost this morning at 8 am and generally in the low 6o's by afternoon. We went to the Grand Canyon yesterday. It's about 60 miles north and approx. 7000 ft. elevation. It was a beautiful day and spectacular views. I was surprised that there was quite a bit of haze in the canyon. We could see several of the trails leading DOWN to the...

    • Ah, yes the age of technology. As we have now taken the huge leap, I at least, am finding I have reached my maximun level of incompetance quite quickly. Earlier this week, while I was sitting in the mall parking lot waiting for Peggy I decided to check out the new cell phone. it had a signal and I was able to scroll thru the menues just like I knew what I was doing. We had also brought the Tom Tom GPS to check it out as well. It was giving us directions and all kinds of cool maps which actually...

    • Free at last. I am very grateful that the ladies had such a great trip and enjoyed their time in Alaska. I am even more grateful for the return of my wife and all of her WONDERWOMAN abilities. After a week of multitasking or should I say attempting such a feat, my brain and body are fried. Home schooling is great when someone else is doing it. The program is good once you figure out the references back and forth between books and the computer. The stack of books is literally a foot tall. When...

    • This was posted on Dr. Mercola's web site. This is the same Dr. that HeatherDawn referred to a while back." Did you know that by simply removing one word from your vocabulary, and replacing it with another, you can put yourself in the driver's seat and gain 100 percent control of your life? More often than not, the word"CAN'T" is the culprit of your failures. By replacing"CAN'T" with"WON'T," you open the door to asking yourself the right questions that may help you get out of your own...

    • Grandpa Warren fell at home yesterday. When the EMT's arrived they sent him to Coquille hospital for observation and found he had broken his hip. They scheduled him for an operation this morning and were hoping to use a spinal anesthetic which is easier on the body. Unfortunately this morning they determined that a full anesthetic was necessary. Shortly after completing the operation, but before he left the operating room, he had a major heart attack and died shortly afterward. It has been a...

    • Yes, Ahem, I have been failing miserably in my blogging duties. Too many things, maybe enough time, but definitely not enough me. We did finally decide on a new camera after much research and many reviews. The problem now is the 200 pg manual and the time to digest it. The bank replacement career may be coming to a close. Only a few more loads to go. I would post pics if I had time to learn how to operate the camera. That's how the last few weeks seem to have gone. Some how the subject of pools...

BUT, just so we don't swing too far on the pendulum you might want to check out this web site. Well the link didn't add but go to www.windingroad.com and click on super cars from the catagories list . It will be the last car shown. This is the car they were testing in Nevada about the time when we were on our trip. They had blocked...
